About us

Biosensing Team Twente is a multidisciplinary group of students and researchers from the University of Twente, driven by a passion for medical innovation. With expertise in chemistry, biomedical engineering, electronics, and business, we collaborate to develop cutting-edge biosensors. Each year, we design and present a novel biosensor at the SensUs competition, pushing the boundaries of research to create real-world impact. Our dedication was recognized with third place for Potential Translation at SensUs 2024, highlighting our commitment to advancing healthcare technology.

This year, we are developing a wearable biosensor designed to measure creatinine levels in interstitial fluid, offering a non-invasive approach to kidney health monitoring. Our goal is to provide a more accessible and continuous way to track renal function, which could benefit both patients and healthcare professionals.

By combining sensor technology, biomedical engineering, and business insights, we aim to create a device that is both practical and impactful. Our team is dedicated to transforming research into a solution that could improve patient monitoring and healthcare accessibility.
